Day 58 Bead & nylon ring

This ring is made simply using some nylon thread and seed beads. The 3 larger beads are about 6mm in size, and end up in a knot.

Day 54 Jewellery set Black & Gold

Yesterday evening Ihad dinner with some of my work colleagues who also happen to be my friends.

I found this looonnnnggggg necklace in my jewellery box and instead of reattaching I thought of making a set out of it... minus the ring!

Day 53 Pendant

This was a very quick attempt an I'm not that happy with the end product. The fun of making something yourself is that at most times you can disassemble and recreate!

Day 31 Necklace ready!

The necklace is ready. These are glass beads but look good enough. I found it better to work step-by-step than rushing through things. I worked slowly but still had to correct how some beads were attached. I also had to change the clasp since the one before didn't close well.


I hope you how it looks, and it's given me some work to practice on, since you have to be pretty precise and work symmetrical.

Day 30 Bead necklace

Yet another WIP... too little time available today!

Day 14 Bead bracelet

A quick craft today... a bead bracelet. You need thread – here I used elastic thread, so maybe I don’t lose the beads nearly as I did :-) You will also need beads. A variety of beads are available from semi-precious, crystal and glass to wood, metal and clay. You can choose any colourway you want or something to match an outfit! You can even mix and match sizes; I used one size only here probably 12mm.



Cut a piece of thread double the length you need plus some extra for knotting at the end. Thread the first bead through and place a pen or pencil through the loop so the bead won’t move through the end. Keep on threading the beads and finish by knotting the ends together, and you’re done!
